Terms of Service

Preamble

Loopengers is a matchmaking platform specialized in organizing the transport of valuable, fragile or precious items, such as:

  • works of art

  • antique or designer furniture

  • collectible items

  • heritage items

  • delicate goods from the high-end second-hand market and auction sales

This document sets out the general terms and conditions applicable to the services offered by Loopengers via its platform.

Scope

These General Terms of Service (GTS) govern all relations between:

  • on the one hand, Loopengers (platform operator)

  • on the other hand, users (individuals or professionals) wishing to arrange transport via Loopengers

  • as well as the relations between Loopengers and the partner carriers performing said services.

Nature of transported goods

Loopengers is exclusively involved in the organization of transport:

  • of unique, antique or contemporary objects with artistic, heritage, or decorative value

  • of fragile or delicate objects requiring special precautions

The following are generally not covered by Loopengers' services:

  • perishable goods

  • hazardous materials (within the meaning of the ADR)

  • goods prohibited from circulation or export

  • live animals

  • objects subject to special authorizations not previously communicated and validated

Loopengers Mission

Loopengers acts as a matchmaking platform between:

  • the contracting party (end customer)

  • a partner carrier selected for its expertise in the relevant type of goods

Loopengers:

  • selects and approves partner carriers

  • organizes the administrative handling of the assignment

  • provides a tracking interface for the parties

The physical execution of the transport is carried out under the responsibility of the selected partner carrier.

Description of services

The services offered include, depending on the case:

  • pickup on site (home, gallery, auction house, warehouse, etc.)

  • appropriate packaging (if specified and ordered)

  • specialized transport with suitable vehicle

  • delivery on site (home, upper floor, installation on request)

  • additional ad valorem insurance (optional)

The services are systematically detailed in the quote approved by the customer.

Customer obligations

The customer agrees to:

  • provide an accurate and truthful description of the items to be transported (dimensions, weight, nature, fragility, value)

  • declare the specific features of the pickup and delivery location (access, floors, elevator, parking...)

  • prepare the items in accordance with safety requirements (unless packaging is ordered via Loopengers)

  • notify any regulatory specifics (export, CITES, customs, etc.)

Any omission or inaccurate declaration may result in:

  • refusal of pickup

  • additional charges

  • exclusion of warranty in case of damage

Liability and insurance

The partner carrier is responsible for the proper physical execution of the transport. It holds:

  • professional carrier liability insurance

  • goods insurance adapted to valuable items (with specified limits)

The client may take out additional ad valorem insurance offered via ReRoute, covering up to the declared and validated value.

In the absence of subscribing to this additional insurance: coverage is limited to the legal limits applicable to the transport of movable goods.

The following are not covered in particular:

  • damage related to the item's pre-existing wear

  • non-visible structural defects

  • alterations affecting patinas, old varnishes, gilding, delicate finishes, except in the event of proven fault by the carrier

Deadlines

The timeframes communicated by Loopengers are indicative unless an express commitment to a firm deadline has been accepted in writing.

In the event of force majeure or unforeseen logistical difficulty, Loopengers and the carrier undertake to inform the customer without delay.

Claims

Any claim relating to a transport service must:

  • be made in writing within 48 hours after delivery

  • be accompanied by clear and specific reservations stated on the delivery note or via the customer interface

In the event of proven damage, any possible compensation will be governed by the subscribed guarantees (see article 6).

Applicable law and competent jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, jurisdiction is granted to the courts within the district of Loopengers' registered office, subject to contrary mandatory legal provisions.

Version effective as of 01/06/2025.

Loopengers reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions. The applicable version is the one in force at the time the order is confirmed.
